Knowledge-Based Companies in Iran Supply Needs of Steel Industry

TEHRAN (ANA)- A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the Science and Technology Park of Khorassan Razavi province in Northeastern Iran and an investment company in the field of energy dispatching as well as concentrate and pellet line samplers.

The MoU between the Science and Technology Park of Khorassan Razavi province and the investment company was inked with the aim of establishing effective communication and close cooperation between the knowledge-based companies and industry, indigenization and self-sufficiency in mineral industries and supporting technological and knowledge-based companies by using the national laws and regulations.

Implementation of integrated control and monitoring project of industrial water and gas system and other uses in three phases of design, supply and implementation, is one of the subjects of the MoU which will proceed to the next phase if each phase is approved.

Based on the agreement, in the first phase, the knowledge-based company will carry out the design, engineering, construction, installation, testing and commissioning of three automatic slurry samplers and one automatic conveyor belt sampler in the pelletizing and concentrate units of Foulad Sangan Mineral Industries Company.

Iran’s steel industry has been constantly developing over the past recnet years against all the pressures and obstacles created by outside forces like the coronavirus outbreak that has severely affected the performance of the world’s top producers.

Based on official statistics, Iran's steel mills produced a total of 27.9 million tons of crude steel in the first 11 months of 2022, keeping its global position as the 10th biggest producer of steel in the world.
