The device has 8GB of internal memory and a 9-inch color LCD. It also enjoys the capability to connect to the USB and read the G code from the computer by using the LAN port. High stability, reliability and resistance to jamming are other specifications of the device. The device has different applications in controlling machine tools and industrial robots.

"For the first time in Iran, we produced the controller of CNC devices which works without any need to a computer," said Saeed Dolatkhah, a programmer and circuit designer and a member of Tatmaco company, stationed at the incubator center of the Islamic Azad University's Science and Technology branch, on the sidelines of the 23rd Exhibition of Research, Technology, and Techmarket in Tehran.

Noting that all devices that have been made so far to control the CNC machines have an operating system and therefore are susceptible to viruses, and jamming affects their performance, he said, “No hardware microcontroller was made in Iran for CNC devices until today and we are the first company which manufactured the device; even in the Middle East and Turkey which is an almost technically-advanced country such a device has not been produced yet.”

"Our product is used in the machining industry, metalworking and in general controlling the CNC devices in different sectors of the industry,” Dolatkhah said.

The 23rd Exhibition of Research, Technology, and Techmarket was inaugurated at Tehran Permanent International Fairgrounds on December 10 and wrapped up on December 14.

Islamic Azad University participated in the exhibition with 300 research and technological products, and five knowledge-based products have been manufactured in the incubator center of Science and Research branch.
