Iranian Company Makes Country Self-Sufficient in Producing Biofertilizers

TEHRAN (ANA)- An Iranian company has made the country self-sufficient regarding biofertilizers by producing bioreactors, pesticides and poisons.

“Kara Industrial Biotechnology Company (KIBCO) Ltd. was established in 2005 with the idea of manufacturing and supplying biofertilizers. The Company is a biotechnology company which focuses on research, discovering, developing, mass production and marketing safe and environmentally friendly microbial inputs for domestic and foreign markets,” a statement on the website of KIBCO Ltd. Co reads to introduce the company.

The statement further says that the company is highly environmentally friendly.

“We are staunch supporters of safeguarding the environment. To ensure this, we offer quality products that help maintaining environmental harmony. We ensure that all our products are high in quality. We have stationed quality control team at the manufacturing unit to maintain a strict vigil and ensure that all the products are of the highest quality and as per the international standards,” the statement further reads.

 “We have acquired knowhow to design and manufacture bioreactors with a capacity of 1,500 liters with a PLC control system,” KIBCO statement furthers says.

“Currently, nine fully automatic bioreactors with volumes of 40 to 1,500 liters are working in the production line of this company,” the statement went on to say.

“Also, relying on the abilities of our specialists and experts in the field of industrial biotechnology, we produce products with a higher quality that exceed global standards and at a lower price than the products available in international markets,” it also reads.

The products are of the highest quality in accordance with the international standards as well as other products available in global markets. This product improves the soil quality and food hygiene and enhances environmental safety, in addition to reducing the use of fertilizers and chemical pesticides by at least 50 percent.

The company's products including fertilizers and biological poisons are mostly sold to the Ministry of Agriculture and farmers in different provinces across the country, the website of KIBCO concluded.
